PVC tape produced by LINTAPE can be used in shipbuilding industry. According to statistics, a 10,000 ton ship will use up to 6000m2 PVC plastic tape, which is a special kind of PVC tape coated on stainless steel or galvanized tape after PVC base film is coated with adhesive.
Different Positions, Different Functions
1. Stainless steel wrapped plastic tape shall be used outdoors. Galvanized soft tape shall be used indoors to wrap plastic tape. Flame retardant PVC insulation tape or color insulation tape are commonly used in the maintenance of electrical appliances on board. The use of these PVC tapes can protect wires and cables from seawater erosion.
2. PVC special tape can be used for sealing, decoration, marking of doors and windows on the hull and joints of various pipes, which plays the role of leak proof, decoration and flame retardant, and is convenient for dis-assembly and assembly.
